Kristen Anne Bell was born in the year 1980. She is an American actress and singer. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) who is a nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Kristen is of Polish descent (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen's passion for acting was recognized at an early age. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after attending her first audition. Bell was accepted by her mother to become an agent when she was 13 years old. She was then chosen for the newspaper advertisements and TV commercials. Along with taking private lessons in acting, she launched her career at that time. Bell was credited as a character in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she was involved in music and drama clubs. Bell was chosen to play the lead role of Dorothy in the school's play The Wizard of Oz. Bell was then transferred to New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater at the Tisch School of the Arts. Bell left the school in 2001, when she landed the role of Becky to play Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. The film was cut, however the film cut her character from the film, and she only appears as a credit. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and The Crucible Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
